My whole life I've been fascinated with foreign language. I took advantage of every opportunity to start learning a new one that I could. I'd studied ASL, Spanish, Italian, and Mandarin before high school. I've lost nearly all of them, but can still struggle by in Spanish. Since then I've added Irish and Japanese to the list. I'm currently working on dusting off the rust on my Spanish, and learning Japanese. Along the same vein, I'm fascinated by linguistics as well, and really enjoy solving linguistics puzzles occasionally.
I'm a rather large nerd. In most of the meanings. I love all types of RPGs. Video games, tabletop rpgs, and live action rpgs. I've played a fair amount of DnD 5e, but really like indie games. Of which I have a small library I haven't played yet. And I play Amtgard every week, where I get to go out and boffer fight for a day.
I counted down the days until I could get my open water certification since I was 5. Now I'm a rescue diver, and I'm hoping to start getting some technical certs soon. I'm particularly eager for closed circuit rebreather, sidemount, specialized gas, and overhead environment training.
I've been playing the guitar for about 12 years, and I love to play around on anything else. I currently own irish tin whistles, guitars, a ukulele, a drum kit, a bodhran, and a keyboard.
